They will also be tasked with collecting basic contact information for curious walk-ins who may be interested in participating in other non-business activities. They must be comfortable dealing with difficult people and be able to be tactful while doing so. Volunteers working the registration table should plan on being at the venue all of Thursday through Sunday. Those working the registration table will still be able to participate in Party business. Needed: 8 Yes, I would like to assist at the registration table Ticket TakersTicket takers will be at the entrance to every paid-for event, taking tickets and ensuring that only individuals who paid for that respective event are allowed in. They must be comfortable dealing with difficult people, turning them away when necessary and be able to be tactful while doing so. They will be expected to stand guard the entirety of the assigned scheduled event. Ticket Takers should plan on being at the venue all of Thursday through Monday. Those working as Ticket Takers will still be able to participate in Party business. Needed: 10 Yes, I would like to assist by taking tickets Convention Floor UshersBusiness Ushers will be posted at the entrance of the balcony steps heading down to the Convention floor, and will be tasked with preventing non-delegates from being on the Convention floor. They will also ensure that alternates are the only ones seated at the appropriate round-tables on the balcony, and that all non-delegates and non-alternates are confined to the galley. They must be comfortable dealing with difficult people, turning them away when necessary and be able to be tactful while doing so. They will be expected to stand guard the entirety of business. Business Ushers should plan on being at the venue all of Friday through Monday. Those working as Business Ushers will still be able to participate in Party business.
